We continue our series of interviews on the focal areas of Unitsky String Technologies Inc. Our today’s guest is the Deputy Design Engineer of Transport Complexes Viktor Garah who shared with us the passing year’s outcomes of the company and the objectives for the year to come.

So far, Unitsky String Technologies Inc. has received about ten patents for the string system technology. String rail transport complexes in urban, interurban and high-speed passenger and cargo versions are being continuously improved. This time, the company received another patent related to Unitsky’s string transport system.

Last August, Unitsky String Technologies Inc. held a competition among universities for the best graduate qualification work. The winner of the competition was Nikita Makarov, a 4th year student of the Civil Engineering Faculty in Nizhny Novgorod State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering. He and his scientific advisor Vladimir Ershov, Associate Professor of Architecture in NNGASU, had visited Unitsky String Technologies Inc.

We spoke to Chief Structural Design Engineer of High-Speed Transport Complex Aliaksandr Kryvitski to learn what results have already been achieved.

World Construction Today has published an article about the transport complexes by Unitsky String Technologies Inc. The article says: «Increasing natural disasters, environmental degradation and excessively loaded motorways make the world think more frequently of building new communications and developing innovative transport».

Current brake systems require continuous maintenance, repair and replacement of consumables because of friction surfaces, which makes their improvement relevant over time. UST transport systems will be equipped with eddy-current retarders.
