Karat Confirms the Stated Speeds
In 2025, the flagship of UST Inc., uBus Karat, achieved a top speed of 120 km/h on a semi-rigid overpass in Sharjah. The tests were conducted as part of the next phase of the testing program, during which the stability of the vehicle’s movement, smoothness, and passenger comfort at speeds of 100 and 120 kilometers per hour were evaluated.
Reaching the 120 km/h speed limit has become a significant factor in demonstrating the readiness of the complex for use not only on urban and suburban routes, but also on longer inter-city routes.
The documentary film “Transport of the Future: uBus Karat” was posted on the official YouTube channel of UST Inc. It showed the entire process of creating the complex, from the development and production of the rolling stock to the construction of a unique, semi-rigid overpass that is about 2.5 kilometers long in the desert.
International Certification as a Basis for Trust in Technology
During the reporting period, UST Inc. has confirmed and expanded its list of international management system certifications. The most significant standards are ISO 45001:2018, which deals with occupational safety and health, and ISO 50001:2018, which focuses on energy management.

The presence of these certificates demonstrates a structured approach to risk management, ensuring the safety of personnel and energy efficiency throughout the project lifecycle. This increases the confidence of government customers and private investors, especially in developed and regulated markets.

In addition to system standards, the company pays attention to meeting the technical requirements of international standards for equipment and infrastructure, including IEC standards in the field of electrical safety and power equipment. Following the completion of the required tests and inspections, it has been established that all components of the uST complex are ready for integration with existing energy and infrastructure systems. This is particularly crucial when entering markets where compliance with international standards is a requirement for participation in major infrastructure projects.
Establishing a Regulatory Framework
In 2025, UST Inc. reached a significant milestone with the establishment of a comprehensive regulatory framework for string transport at the state level and its integration into the technical regulation system of Belarus and the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). The State Committee for Standardization of the Republic of Belarus approved the first national standard directly governing uST technology: STB 2673-2025 “String Transport Systems. Terms and Definitions.”

The next step involved the approval of a comprehensive package of standards for rolling stock of string transport. By Resolution No. 65, dated May 30, the following standards were adopted: STB 2679-2025 “String Transport Systems. Rolling Stock. Rail Freight Vehicles. General Technical Conditions,” and STB 2681-2025 “String Transport Systems. Rolling Stock. General Technical Conditions.”
These documents enhance the trust of potential clients and partners, streamline acceptance and certification procedures, and establish a regulatory foundation for a future transition to interstate standards within the EAEU, alongside the development of GOST standards for string transport.
Expanding Project Portfolio and Geographic Presence
In 2025, UST Inc. continued to expand its project portfolio and advanced previous initiatives. In Nepal, despite ongoing political unrest, an agreement was signed to commence the design and construction of a string rail complex in the city of Biratnagar (Koshi Province).
The first phase includes a line approximately 7 km long, connecting the Biratnagar bus terminal with the border crossing into India, poised to facilitate the transport of up to 10 million passengers annually. Future plans envision extending the line by an additional 45 km and developing a national network of up to 1,000 km of high-speed routes.

In Taiwan, UST Inc. presented a project for a string-based transport infrastructure complex in Tainan City, aimed at developing a recreational and tourist cluster. This route, spanning around 2 km, will connect the Hutoupi Nature Park with accommodation and leisure facilities, including stations at Lakeside Hotel, Lakeside Mountain City, and Xinhua Forest Farm. The project is being executed in partnership with the local entity SkyTaxi and is seen as a foundational step towards integrating uST complexes with Taiwan’s high-tech zones, including the Southern Taiwan Science Park.

The office in Indonesia continues to advance two projects located in the Harjamukti and Puncak (Bogor) regions, measuring 11.5 km and 16 km, respectively. These projects are in the final stages of preparing independent feasibility studies. Concurrently, negotiations are underway with new regions to incorporate uST technology into urban master plans.
In Russia, the company has identified several priority directions, including a project in Rostov-on-Don, where a feasibility study has been completed, and a financial model has been established. This project aims to become the first implementation of the uST complex under a concession agreement, which is anticipated to be signed in 2026. Subsequently, the company plans to utilize the developed model to launch similar lines across various regions—from the Leningrad region to the Far East.

Preparations are underway for a feasibility study for a passenger complex in Kazakhstan’s Almaty region. The proposed line, approximately 11.8 km long with four stations, aims to connect Kaskelen with a future Almaty metro station near the “Barlyk” market, ensuring seamless connectivity between suburban areas and the urban transport system.

India is viewed as one of the most significant and promising markets for the development of uST technology in the coming years. The company has already made considerable progress in advancing initiatives in the Delhi region and Karnataka.
Furthermore, the strategic plans of UST Inc. also highlight the development of projects in Vietnam, where the company’s specialists are actively exploring potential routes.
Commencement of Construction on Targeted Project
One of the most notable events of the year was the beginning of construction on the passenger transport infrastructure complex of uST at the “Sosny” sanatorium in Belarus.

This line is designed to connect the resort’s residential buildings with a new SPA complex. It marks the first instance of string transport being implemented in the country’s sanatorium and resort sector, focusing on convenience, environmental sustainability, and tourist appeal.

The project at “Sosny” showcases how uST technology can integrate into existing recreational infrastructure without significantly disrupting the natural landscape. For the sanatorium, this not only represents a new level of service for guests but also serves as a marketing advantage, distinguishing it from more traditional resorts.
Readiness for Scaling and Practical Implementation
The uST technology is now poised for large-scale practical implementation across various regions worldwide. This is reflected in the growth strategy set for 2025–2035 by the GTI group of companies, a shareholder in UST Inc. The string transport technology is positioned within the agendas of the Union State and BRICS, gaining recognition as a tool for the integration of infrastructure in Russia and Belarus and for the sustainable development of the cities of the partner countries.
