UST Inc. Signed a Scientific and Technical Cooperation Agreement with Saint Petersburg Mining University

The agreement outlines collaboration on promoting cargo complex projects at mining and mineral processing sites. It also includes plans for cooperation in scientific research, education, and technical fields, as well as joint initiatives in related areas.

Each party brings strong expertise in the mining industry. By combining efforts, the partners will be able to offer the sector new and effective solutions. uST cargo complexes can significantly simplify and accelerate logistics processes in remote areas with harsh climate conditions, which is especially relevant for mining enterprises.

UST Inc. General Director Nadezhda Kosareva emphasized that collaboration with leading technical universities is an important part of the company’s strategy:

It is essential for us to work with a partner like this. As part of the agreement, we plan to exchange experience, cooperate in research, and, of course, develop joint projects. We are also considering involving students in internships and UST Inc.’s research projects. I am confident this cooperation will be productive for both sides.”

The Mining University trains specialists for major Russian and international companies engaged in forecasting, exploration, development, and processing of key mineral resources, such as oil, gas, metal ores, and gemstones. The university includes 9 faculties: Geological Exploration, Oil and Gas Engineering, Mining, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mineral Processing, Economics, Energy, and the Faculty of Fundamental and Humanitarian Disciplines.
