UST Inc. Launches Preparation of Feasibility Study for Project in Kazakhstan
UST Inc. continues its work on implementing the uST transport and infrastructure complex in Kazakhstan. The project is designed to provide fast, safe, and efficient passenger transportation between the city of Kaskelen and the future Almaty metro station near the Barlyk market. At the current stage, preparation of the feasibility study (FS) has begun.
At the request of the Akimat of Almaty Region, UST Inc. specialists have developed a proposed route spanning 11.8 kilometers with four stations. The feasibility study marks a critical stage in project development: it will determine the construction cost of the uST complex and deliver a comprehensive assessment of its technical and financial parameters. As part of the pre-project documentation, the FS will define the required resources and establish implementation timelines.
UST Inc.’s solution for Kazakhstan is aimed at optimizing transportation along the Kaskelen – Barlyk market route and reducing the load on the transport infrastructure of the Almaty Region. The uST complex is engineered for round-the-clock operation under all weather conditions. Passenger services will be provided by 42-seat uBuses Karat, capable of transporting up to 5,300 people during peak hours. Preliminary calculations indicate that, even with affordable ticket pricing, the complex will achieve payback in less than 10 years.
