Work on improving the Karat speed continues at the uSky Center

The team at Unitsky String Technologies Inc. is focused on achieving the maximum speed of the uPod. As previously reported, engineers have developed a unique traction power supply system to solve this problem. The uSky Test and Certification Center is currently preparing to put it to use. Additionally, measures are being taken to develop an error-free running period of the uBus.

The current maximum speed of a Karat is 85 km/h, but it is expected that the installation of a traction power supply system will significantly increase this speed. The device consists of two parts. The main element located on the anchor support will supply the track structure with electricity, and the voltage converter installed in the uPod will ensure its efficient use. You can read more about what development is like here.

An equally important part of the work is checking the reliability and safety of all Karat systems. To do this, engineers carry out fail-over measures. Such tests include stress tests, checking the components of the uPod in various speed modes, and analyzing the results. During the execution of these works, minor issues are noted and promptly addressed.

Earlier, the uSky Center conducted unique tests to assess the comfort of the uBus Karat. Shortly before that, the transport overpass of the uST flagship complex received a certificate of compliance with international safety and quality standards from TUV SW.
