UST Inc. Will Participate in EXPO Dubai

Unitsky String Technologies Inc. has confirmed its participation in World Expo hosted by Dubai from October 1, 2021 to March 31, 2022.

Participation of UST Inc. in this prestigious international event corresponds to the company’s global positioning and opens up new prospects for it. Here in the United Arab Emirates, in Sharjah, the company has its own uSky Center, where the uST overhead electric transport system is already operating managed by the artificial intelligence.

Importantly, the uST innovative transport complex is at a short distance from Dubai, and every interested potential customer can come to see the center while visiting Expo.

The uSky Center in Sharjah presents the operating string rail overpass, passenger stations, control center, passenger and cargo rolling stock designed for the tropics. In May, the operation of the 400-meter test section of the overhead transport system was started there.

The Sharjah Center enables Unitsky String Technologies Inc. to offer a tested integrated product ready for daily operation in the region. At this time, three uST transport solutions designed for the tropics are being certified:

• The passenger overhead transport and infrastructure complex, that provides transportation of about 50,000 people per hour via each overpass at a price starting from $0.02 per passengers-km at speeds of up to 150 km/h on the uPods of uCar® with a capacity of 6 persons and uBus® with a capacity of 25 people.

• The cargo overhead transport system with uCont® electric pods, that provides transportation of TEU and FEU standard cargo containers at a price starting from $0.01 per tons-km at speeds of up to 120 km/h. 

The competitive advantage of the company’s solution means the possibility to carry out loading-unloading operations in ports and logistics hubs «on the fly» without need in additional terminals.

• High-speed overhead passenger transport system operating at speeds of up to 500 km/h with the special six-seater uPods of uFlash. The pod engineering specifics and location of the high-speed route at the overhead level allow to gain such speed while providing comfort for passengers and economical expediency for the customer. 

It is worth to note that the company communicates with the UAE state bodies responsible for transport infrastructure. For example, in February 2019, within the framework of the World Government Summit in Dubai, the company signed a memorandum of understanding with the Dubai Road and Transport Authority (RTA).
