UST Inc. Is Working on a Complex Construction Project in Kazakhstan

UST Inc. and Kazakhstan

The authorities of Almaty region are interested in the integration of transport and infrastructure solutions from Unitsky String Technologies Inc. into the regional infrastructure. The company's experts have started to develop a preliminary design. The string rail overpass may connect the regional town of Kaskelen and the future metro station near Barlyk market in Almaty, which will solve the problem with hours-long traffic jams.

In cooperation with the regional administration, UST Inc. developed an 11.8 km route. Today, this section has become a source of pressing problems, such as a huge flow of cars as part of pendulum migration and many hours of traffic jams. There are no streetcars here, not enough buses, and no subway network. At the same time, passenger traffic in this direction reaches 180,000 passengers per day.

Local authorities are expressing interest in the product from UST Inc. that can solve logistical problems, optimize transportation and unburden the transport infrastructure. The company’s solutions are uST complexes that allow uPod vehicles to travel on a special overpass above ground, avoiding accidents and traffic jams. At the same time, the above-ground design of the track structure makes it possible to create a route along an optimal trajectory, which will reduce travel time and help redistribute passenger traffic.

"The implementation of uST technologies will optimize transportation on the Kaskelen–Barlyk route and relieve the transport infrastructure of the Almaty region. It is a safe, environmentally friendly, and cost-effective solution compared to conventional types of transport. uST complexes can operate 24/7 in any weather conditions such as snow, ice, strong winds, or heavy rain. By entrusting passenger transportation to it, you will ensure safety, cost-efficiency, and guaranteed uninterrupted operation for many years," notes Nadezhda Kosareva, CEO at Unitsky String Technologies Inc.

For uninterrupted passenger transportation, UST Inc. offers its flagship uPod, the U4-212 Karat uBus. During rush hour, a uST complex will be able to transport up to 5,300 people (31 uPods per line) in one direction. The average travel speed will be about 112 km/h. A passenger will get from one terminus to the other in 6 minutes. According to preliminary calculations, the fare will be up to 300 tenge. Even with such a low ticket price, comparable to the cost of a cab fare, all the costs of construction of the complex can be recouped within 10 years due to the high efficiency of the engineering solutions used in the project.
