The uSky uBus Karat Carried the First Passengers
At uSky Test and Certification Centre in Sharjah, the 25-seat uBus Karat U4-212 made runs with its first passengers. The flagship uBus traveled along the track at a speed of more than 40 km/h.
"The uBus travels as specified in the test standards and procedures. The speed is increased systematically in 10 km/h intervals and receives safety confirmation. We have previously tested the uPod at speeds of more than 50 km/h. Today, a base speed of 40 km/h is allowed for rides with passengers. Next, we plan to test the Karat in different speed modes," said Vitaly Lapkovsky, Chief Designer of Rapid Transport Complex at UST Inc.
The tropical uBus comes with the following features:
- spacious interior: 8 seats and accessibility for passengers with disabilities;
- 360° view;
- improved door design;
- automated climate control system with increased capacity;
- two-stage air suspension;
- double-glazed windows and multi-layer noise-absorbing coating;
- multimedia system and Wi-Fi.

Guaranteed Efficiency Even at +50°C. How Does the Microclimate System Work in String Transport?
Extreme temperatures do not threaten not only the string transport, but also its passengers. People in the cabin of uPod will hardly feel any discomfort regardless of bitter cold or exhausting heat overboard. All this is thanks to the microclimate system, which is the unique development of UST Inc. It automatically adjusts the temperature inside the vehicle. The company's engineers Anton Matveychuk and Maxim Lomako described its features.
