Taking into account international and local regulatory frameworks: what standards are used to work out uST complexes?

The proposals from Unitsky String Technologies Inc. are included in the national standardization plan of Belarus for 2024. The document provides for the development of standards for passenger and cargo uPods, as well as terms and definitions for uST transport.

The amendments were drawn up on the basis of proposals received from a number of companies and organizations of Belarus. Thus, the plan includes elaboration of 42 national standards and amendments to the existing ones in various sectors of the economy: transportation, food, construction, pulp and paper, agricultural machinery, telecommunication, electrical engineering and electronics, as well as in the field of metrology, healthcare, oil refining, digital technologies, tourism and others. Of these, 28 national standards will be harmonized with international and European ones.

It is important to note that UST Inc. creates all components of uST transport and infrastructure complexes taking into account international and local regulatory frameworks. The existing standards allow to implement transport and infrastructure projects in those regions where uST technology is already being introduced.

Due to this UST Inc. is already actively introducing its product in various regions of the world. The existing regulatory framework allows to adapt the uST solution to any market. At the same time, the company predicts future developments and is working hard to create its own standards that meet the requirements of the 21st century.

Engineering structures, including string rail overpasses and passenger stations, are designed in accordance with the requirements of Eurocodes: EN 1990 – EN 1999 (Eurocode 0 – Eurocode 9 standards). However, there is no strict binding to them, as the technical regulations of the customer's country are applied depending on the region of construction. In addition, standards for rail and light rail transport are considered when designing rail electric vehicles – uPods.

It should be noted that the company's activities are based on the principles of international quality management system, environmental management system, as well as health and safety management system. These approaches are the basis and guarantee for a successful fulfillment of all requirements for confirmation of uST transport compliance with regulatory documents.

At the same time, the company pays special attention to the certification of its product. For example, in 2021, the uST transport and infrastructure complex in Sharjah was certified for compliance with safety requirements by the independent international organization TUV SW. The certificate confirms the safety of the technology and covers the main elements of the uST complex.
