Excursion for Students and Faculties of Belarusian State University Held at UST Inc.
A delegation of students and members of the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics at Belarusian State University visited the production and testing facilities of Unitsky String Technologies Inc. The guests learned about the process behind the creation of uPods, tested implemented uST transport solutions, discovered the company's scientific activities, and explored employment opportunities for graduates.
The excursion was a continuation of a previously held lecture. Now, third-year students, along with their professors, had the chance to see the practical application of string transport technology and personally verify its efficiency.
The university representatives visited the SW Plant complex, where they were introduced to the company’s production base and the specifics of manufacturing unmanned rail electric vehicles. At EcoTechnoPark, the guests were shown the operation of uST Transport & Infrastructure Complexes and the implemented string rail track structures of various types. The delegates also had the opportunity to take trips in the uPods.
During the visit, the students were given the chance to ask questions to UST Inc. representatives. Deputy Chief Designer for Science Sergey Artyushevsky and Head of the Research Division Alexey Klimkov discussed the company’s scientific activities, their significance for the development of the technology, and the graduate and postgraduate training programs. Lead HR Specialist Nadezhda Safonova introduced the guests to the benefits of internships in the organization and the prospects for future employment.
"The students asked many questions related to science and technology, engineering, mechanics and mathematics, and economics," noted Sergey Artyushevsky. "It is important that the opportunity for industrial and pre-graduation practice sparked particular interest. UST Inc. is also keen to attract young and promising talent."
At the end of the meeting, both sides confirmed their intention to continue active cooperation in the scientific and educational field.
