A report from the uSky Center: a new track, a flagship uPod, and convenient platform

String rail overpass
uSky carries out electrical testing to determine the actual insulating capacity of the rails between themselves while also measuring insulation resistance. The next stage is the implementation of one of the options for the traction network power supply. Now the 25-seat uPod moves thanks to the battery.
There are plans for the fourth stage of dynamic tests of transport and track structure, as well as for the connection of the complex to the control room.
Rolling stock
Earlier, UST Inc. reported on debugging the communication systems of the 25-seat uBus Karat. The company's specialists checked the operation of the antennas that contact the uBus with the central control system.
After completing a range of commissioning operations, various systems of the uPod, its safety and comfort will be tested. Then, all inspections will start with the transition to test runs under the approved program.
Infrastructure
The construction of a platform for boarding and disembarking passengers of suspended uPods is currently underway. The platform will be the most simple and functional construction consisting of a reinforced concrete base with a metal structure placed on it for the passengers’ access to the transport. Its capacity will be 2,500-3,000 passengers per hour (for uBus Karat U4-212). The total area will be 110 m².
At the moment, the platform foundation has already been settled, a steel frame has been installed on its basis, and a wall has been built. Now the platform is being floored with composite materials and the canopy is being installed to protect passengers from the sun and rain while waiting for transport. The final work is expected to be completed by the end of December.
