Vietnamese Delegation Visits UST Inc.

A delegation from Vietnam arrived in Belarus on an official visit and toured UST Inc. The group included representatives of the press and government authorities, company executives and industry associations, as well as scientists and public figures.

The guests visited the company’s office and received a detailed introduction to uST technology. As part of the visit, the delegates also traveled to the EcoTechnoPark in Maryina Gorka, where they were able to see operating models of string transport and evaluate its potential deployment in Vietnam. In addition, the program included a tour of the SW Plant factory, which manufactures rolling stock for uST complexes.

In meetings, the delegation met with UST Inc. General Director Nadezhda Kosareva, as well as with heads of the company’s departments. Among them were Deputy General Designer for Science Sergey Artyushevsky, who spoke about the company’s scientific and educational activities, and Deputy General Director for Marketing Evgeny Petrov, who introduced the delegates to current projects.

The parties discussed prospects for cooperation, opportunities for technology localization, and explored six potential string transport projects for Vietnam. These included double-track passenger lines between:

•    Hanoi’s Linh Nam district and Gia Binh International Airport (30 km);
•    Ho Chi Minh City (Phan Van Tri Street) and Tan Chan Hiep bus station (9.3 km);
•    the tourist village of Binh Quoi and the National Highway 50 station (District 8 of Hanoi);
•    Ba Son station and Mien Tay bus terminal (11.3 km).

Also considered were a meridional uST transport corridor along the route Soc Son – Son Tay – Hoa Lac – Xuan Mai – Phu Xuyen encircling Vietnam’s capital, Hanoi, and a transport and infrastructure complex along the Hong Ha River.

The introduction of the uST complex is expected to enhance mobility, improve access to key facilities, and increase the region’s tourist appeal.
UST Inc. is committed to promoting its technologies in Vietnam, and the delegation’s visit confirms the mutual interest.
