The project of aboveground transport systems was approved in Dubai
The Executive Council of Dubai has approved a project concerning suspended transport systems. It aims to increase the share of autonomous travel to 25% by 2030. Why can uST transport and infrastructure complexes become an important link in the implementation of this project?
The Executive Council was established to develop the Emirate’s development programs and strengthen its leadership position in the region. By approving this project, Dubai has taken another important step in this direction.
The project provides for the construction of an aboveground transport line, which should minimize traffic congestion and reduce travel time. The project corresponds to the large-scale initiative of the Dubai government to transform the metropolis into a “smart city.”
The Dubai government has not informed the public exactly which technology will be chosen for the construction of the 65-kilometer suspended transport line, but, according to experts, Unitsky string rail transport technology has every chance of becoming a winner in the tender, if one is announced.
“uST transport is as fully consistent as possible with what is expected from the project. This is exactly the solution that can be organically integrated into the proposed concept. The uST complex is adaptive, automated, safe and energy efficient. uPods carry out transportation at speeds up to 150 km/h and solve the problem of traffic jams. I am convinced that uST transport and infrastructure solutions will be able to pleasantly surprise residents and guests of Dubai," said Oleg Zaretsky, CEO of uScovery DMCC.
The suspended transport systems project should impact the development of Dubai's transport infrastructure. In the future, such a solution can become the basis for creating faster, more comfortable, safe and environmentally friendly transportation.
