Status of UST Inc. Projects and the Company’s Plans for 2026
UST Inc. has reviewed the results of the current stage of project implementation and outlined its development priorities for 2026. Heads of UST’s international offices shared updates on ongoing projects in a video interview. Watch the video on the company’s official YouTube channel.
A key milestone at the end of 2025 was the start of construction of a UST complex at the Sosny Sanatorium of the Administrative Department of the President of the Republic of Belarus. This marks the company’s transition from demonstration solutions to real-world deployment of string transport and reflects state-level recognition of the technology.
UST Inc. continues to operate successfully in Russia, where project development is based on public–private partnership mechanisms. A broad range of routes is under consideration, spanning from the Leningrad Region to the Far East. The most promising project is in Rostov-on-Don, where the feasibility study has been completed and the final financial model has been developed. In 2026, UST Inc. expects to sign its first concession agreement, which is intended to set a precedent and accelerate similar projects in other regions.
The company’s international operations are also developing actively. The Indonesia office, opened in 2024, has resumed work on all previously initiated projects following a change in the country’s government. Two routes – in the Harjamukti and Puncak–Bogor areas, with lengths of 11.5 km and 16 km respectively – are at the final stage of preparing independent feasibility studies. Negotiations are underway with new regions regarding the inclusion of UST technology in urban master plans.
UST Inc. views India as one of the most important and high-capacity markets in the coming years and is advancing projects in the states of Delhi and Karnataka. In Nepal, following political unrest and a change of government, projects have returned to the agenda, with a new tender being prepared for a feasibility study of Kathmandu’s rail transport system.
In the Middle East, the company continues in-depth work in the UAE. Consultations are ongoing with transport authorities in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, and Ras Al Khaimah, including discussions on safety requirements and the integration of the technology into urban infrastructure.
The speakers also highlighted the technological maturity of UST Inc.’s passenger solutions and the results of pilot operation of the Karat complex, which is already perceived as a market-ready product.
In 2026, the company plans to focus on scaling up proven solutions and entering new markets, including Saudi Arabia and Oman. Projects in hard-to-reach regions will also be a priority, utilizing both passenger and cargo systems.
