Engineers vs. the Desert: Premiere of UST Inc.’s New Film on the Construction of the Karat Complex
The film will premiere on October 10, 2025, on the UST Inc. YouTube channel. At the heart of the story is a team of engineers bringing to life a large-scale project by Unitsky String Technologies Inc., one that could reshape modern logistics and urban transportation.
The company’s specialists were tasked with building the world’s longest and tallest string transport track right in the middle of the desert. This massive engineering puzzle involved 28 high-strength steel cables, each 2,000 meters long, and the challenge of laying the string rail so precisely that a 12-ton unmanned vehicle traveling at speeds of up to 150 km/h would deviate no more than 1 mm.
The film showcases the key experts in action and the obstacles they had to overcome to prove the effectiveness of string transport technologies to the world.
