Discussions on the feasibility study for the string transport line project have begun in Jakarta

Representatives of Unitsky Nusantara Technologies took part in discussions on the feasibility study for the 11.5 km string transport line project. The route will connect the Harjamukti LRT station with Taman Buah Mekarsari Park, serving as a link to the light rail transport network in the Jabodetabek agglomeration.

The meeting took place in the Indonesian capital, Jakarta. The event was attended by the project initiator responsible for financing, PT Minsky Cakrawala Nusa, technical consultant Malcon Group, and Unitsky Nusantara Technologies as the provider of string transport technology.

The parties considered a number of important issues. These included passenger traffic forecasts and potential daily user numbers, as well as preliminary technical and financial analyses. They also discussed the advantages of intermodal integration with existing LRT lines.

Particular attention was paid to the environmental and economic effects of the project. These include reducing emissions, easing congestion on highways, and stimulating transit-oriented development along key transportation hubs.

The string transport line project will be implemented entirely with private investment, without government subsidies or budget funds. This financing model provides flexibility and minimizes the fiscal burden on the government.

Following the completion of the feasibility study, the project will progress to the implementation phase. String transport could become a new model of urban mobility in the region – offering affordable, fast, and safe travel. Moreover, it can serve as a leading example of sustainable development in urban transport infrastructure.
