UST Inc. has announced the main events in the science field for the fourth quarter of 2024

Unitsky String Technologies Inc. summed up its research results for the fourth quarter of 2024. Key events include the announcement of an international competition for scientific papers, visits by delegations from the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and the Brest State Technical University, participation in a conference in Orenburg, and lectures by UST Inc. specialists. Active participation in scientific events and cooperation with leading universities help develop advanced uST technologies and strengthen the company's scientific potential, said Sergey Artyushevsky, the Deputy General Designer for Science at UST Inc.

International competition of scientific papers

Unitsky String Technologies Inc. has announced the international competition of scientific papers for young scientists. It’s open for students, master degree students, postgraduates, doctoral students, as well as their scientific supervisors. Applications are due by February 28, 2025, and winners will be announced in September.

Visit of representatives of the Belarusian Academy of Sciences

During the field training session, employees and undergraduates of the University of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus visited the UST Inc. 's EcoTechnoPark and production complex. The guests got acquainted with the manufacturing process of unmanned electric vehicles, learnt about the history of the EcoTechnoPark, and discover the benefits of uST technology. Also, lecture on innovations in transport was held for master degree students.

Delegation from BrSTU

Representatives from the Brest State Technical University, partners of UST Inc., visited the company's office and EcoTechnoPark. They discussed the directions of cooperation in education, including possible employment of graduates and internship programs for teachers. During their visit, the guests toured the production facilities and rode uST vehicles at the test and demonstration center.

Participation in the conference in Orenburg

The delegation of UST Inc. participated in the XIX All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference "Advanced Technologies in Transport Systems", which was held at Orenburg State University. At the event, reports were presented on improving environmental safety and the advantages of string rail transport. Possible areas for partnership and participation in future conferences were also discussed.

Lectures for students and teachers

During October - December 2024, specialists from UST Inc. held 5 lectures at various universities in Belarus and Russia, including the Orenburg State University, the Ural State Forestry Engineering University, the Orenburg branch of the Volga State University of Railway Transport, the University of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, and the Institute of Business at the Belarusian State University.

Improving the scientific qualification of specialists

In November 2024, four UST Inc. specialists joined the postgraduate program of major Belarusian universities after successfully completing all the necessary procedures. As a result, the company's experts will enhance their scientific capabilities at the Belarusian National Technical University, Belarusian State University of Economics, Belarusian State Transport University, and International Sakharov Environmental Institute. Dissertation topics are related to the implementation and improvement of uST transport and infrastructure solutions. The training of each specialist is funded by the national budget.

Deputy General Designer for Science at UST Inc., Sergey Artyushevsky, explained how collaboration with universities contributes to the development of uST technology: “It's a contribution to our future, which will help us outperform our competitors significantly. The company motivates young and talented scientists to engage in scientific activities related to uST technologies through competitions for scientific papers. These events help strengthen our position in the scientific community, identify and recruit promising specialists, and generate new ideas for using uST technology.”
