The Opinion of UST Inc.'s General Director in Forbes: What Transport Does an Urbanized World Need?
Nadezhda Kosareva shared her expert opinion in the authoritative financial and economic magazine Forbes. In her analytical article, the General Director of UST Inc. discussed the type of transport needed to reduce road accidents and address environmental pollution.
Nadezhda Kosareva identified this type of transport as one that does not rely on the world’s natural resources. Examples include electric buses, subways, streetcars, monorails, and uST transport, all of which are considered low-carbon and emission-free. In contrast, electric cars do not fall into this category. Their batteries typically last about five years, and their production requires energy from fossil fuels, with unresolved issues surrounding their disposal.
UST Inc.'s General Director emphasized the efficiency of public transport compared to private vehicles in terms of space utilization. She also highlighted the benefits of moving public transportation to the second level, which would make logistics more predictable and transportation much safer.
