EcoTechnoPark Hosted an Excursion for Pupils
The pupils of Tikhinichskaya school in the Rogachev region have visited the R&D center of Unitsky String Technologies Inc. in Maryina Gorka. The guests have got acquainted not only with the ecofriendly uST transport and infrastructure complexes, but also with other "green" technologies presented in EcoTechnoPark.
The attention of visitors was immediately attracted by the ZIL-131 vehicle – an experimental model of the uST transport. The pupils learned that once the vehicle with specially adapted wheels was used as a test module in the city of Ozyory, Moscow Region. It was exactly that place where the first test site for uST technology was built, which laid the foundation for the further development of the “second level” transport.
The guests were told that EcoTechnoPark reflects the philosophy of the company. Its essence is the creation of environmentally friendly and safe transport systems that will harmoniously coexist with nature. Due to the transfer of traffic to the second level, the track lines do not occupy fertile land. This eliminates traffic jams and accidents as well.
The schoolchildren were able to assess the comfort of uPods personally – a single-section uCar and a 48-seat uBus. They learned that uST transport and infrastructure complexes can not only unload roads crowded with cars, but also connect the divided parts of city. Such an application is especially relevant when geographical conditions do not allow the use of other transport modes. uPods will easily overcome almost any natural obstacles.
A keen interest was aroused among pupils concerning the uST unmanned vehicle control. After visiting the control room, the guests saw how the control of the rail electric vehicles movement takes place. With the help of technical vision and various sensors, the control system reads information from the track, monitors the fulfillment of route task, and also independently decides to reduce speed or stop.
The tour ended with a visit of the uST Transport Museum. The guests were told how the technology of the Belarusian engineer Anatoli Unitsky was embodied in the test and demonstration center today. But once here, instead of a green area with orchards and lakes, there was an abandoned tank training ground.
“What we have seen is really impressive. Reminds me of something cosmic. I hope that soon the technology will be implemented in many countries of the world. By the way, some of the children admitted that in the future they plan to do their student practice in your company,” said Olga Klimkova, the school principal.

Zero Emissions: How Will uST Solutions Help to Accelerate the Transition to Eco-Friendly Transport?
uPods can become an efficient solution for the arrangement of urban passenger transportation. When traveling around the city and beyond, it is possible to save time if a second-level route is used instead of an electric car. In addition, there is no need to worry about an empty battery and the absence of a charging station.
